Welcome to my little Cornish corner of the internet. Here I will be discussing books old and new and diving deep into the literary world while bringing you along on an adventure as we explore the beauty of Cornwall together. I am very happy to have you here!

I have created this blog, A Cornish Reader, as a way to delve into my love of literature and all things reading and writing. Starting a blog has been something I have wanted to do for a while and so I am looking forward to everything yet to come on this page!

To tell you a little more about me, my name is Lucy and I am 25 years old. I am proud to say that I was born and raised in Cornwall and it is here that I have chosen to settle. It is a place that you fall in love with over and over again, constantly in awe and surprised by its charm. With its stunning beaches, breath-taking countryside and an ever-present feeling of peace, I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

I graduated from Royal Holloway University of London in 2019 with a Master's Degree in English Literature and so it is clear that I have an immense passion for reading and writing. My heart lies in language, in the eloquence of words and the way that ink upon a page can make you feel deeper emotions than you knew possible.

In this blog you can expect plenty of book reviews, seasonal recommendations and explorations of Cornwall with a book in tow. Cosy up, grab a mug of warm tea and join me for this journey; I am excited to see where we end up!
